Born and raised in Amsterdam, Holland, Dr. Robert J. Bos, who is fluent in English, Dutch and Spanish, spent several years in North and South America, before settling in New York City in 1990.Dr. Bos spent three years at Lenox Hill Hospital on Park Avenue and 77th St. in Internal Medicine Residency followed by a two-year fellowship in Pulmonary Diseases. He is currently Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Board Eligible in Pulmonary Diseases.

Dr. Bos founded RBosMD P.C. in 2009 after working in an Upper East Side medical partnership for 14 years. There he saw a pattern of health care that was dictated by the whims of insurance companies. Frustrated with decreased time of patient-doctor contact and long wait times for patients, Dr. Bos conducted a formal survey among his patients confirming his own concerns. Though his patients were pleased with the care provided by Dr. Bos, ancillary services received a resounding F. This led to the establishment of RBosMD as an out of network medical practice to provide patients with the quality of care that is based on THEIR NEEDS.
